    A regional Micah Training Day for people in the South Coast and Southern Highland areas of NSW.

    Get ready to campaign for justice in 2010! With just five years to go until 2015, an election year is a key opportunity to make sure Australia does all it can to see the MDG's achieved. Whether you're new to Micah Challenge or a long-time campaigner, this training day will equip you to speak out for God's justice and get on board with Micah Challenge's 2010 election campaign.

    This training day features the new Micah Challenge Action Toolkit, plus guest speakers, presentations from politicians and policy experts and practical workshops.

    Cost:
    - $15 ($10 unwaged); inc the new Micah Challenge Action Toolkit (+DVD) & morning tea.
    - Free registration from people from South of Nowra and Canberra (Billeting also available)

  • Make Poverty History Roadtrip

    The MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY Road Trip is your chance to be part of a movement of passionate young people, traveling together across Australia to help end extreme poverty. From the 8th - 15 of May the Road Trip will unite a generation who are not willing to accept the extreme poverty should exist in the world today.

    The Fair Trade Fortnight is a great time of year to celebrate all things Fair Trade, recognise the life-changing difference fair trade makes for millions of developing world farmers, and to raise awareness about this important issue with your friends.   • SA Micah Challenge Action Toolkit Launch & Training day

    The Micah Challenge Action Toolkit is a resource for Christians who want to raise awareness about poverty and injustice. This training day will teach you to use the Toolkit to engage in dialogue and action at lots of different levels in their own faith group or church, in their wider community, and nationally through the political process.

    If you're from South Australia, come and learn how to make your voice heard about issues of poverty through practical easy to follow ideas, and eat party food at our 'Survive past Five' 5th birthday party brunch.

    We will hear from such knowledgeable people as the Rev Dr Don Owers (Principal of Tabor Adelaide) and others who've been involved in the political process and loved it!

    Cost: $10 donation which covers the Toolkit and brunch.

  • One Just World - Global health event

  • STAND UP against poverty

    Micah Challenge is partnering with Make Poverty History, the Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP) and the United Nations Millennium Campaign (UNMC) in encouraging people in Australia and around the world to STAND UP on the weekend of 16-18 October 2009. For the fourth year in a row, millions of people will STAND UP and TAKE ACTION. We encourage you to take this opportunity to STAND UP with your congregation as part of your worship on the Sunday.
