"The righteous give and do not hold back." Proverbs 21:26
Welcome to Micah Challenge Australia
Micah Challenge is a global campaign of Christians speaking out against poverty and injustice. Join with agencies, churches, groups and individuals to encourage our leaders to halve global poverty by 2015. God wants us to act in response to injustice. Find out how.
Please make sure you get your Church involved in writing an 'Offering of Letters' before 21 August, 2009. Click here to visit the Offering of Letters page to download the info kits.
Voices for Justice is four days of advocacy training, biblical teaching,
workshops, worship and prayer, as well as opportunities to engage with our nation's leaders in events, forums and meetings at Parliament House, Canberra. Registrations close 7 August. Click here to register and for the latest program information.
On
17-18 June, Micah Challenge coalition representatives met with
politicians in Canberra to bring them up to date on the campaign. The
meetings were very encouraging and the politicians were aware and
supportive of the campaign. Click here for more about the lobbying trip.
Keen for your Church to be singing about God's justice? A music book with lyrics and sheet music from the Heart Life VOICE album is now available for $5. Email info@micahchallenge.org.au to order your copy. Click here for more information of the Heart Life VOICE Micah Challenge music project.
Micah Challenge has recently developed a research paper suggesting a theological approach to climate change. Education is an important first step to tackling the issues of climate change. Click here to visit our research page and download a PDF of the paper.
We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help take the campaign forward. If you are passionate about God's justice, please consider volunteering with Micah Challenge. Click here to visit our 'Volunteer' page.
